Today the grade 5’s and the Environmental Warriors worked to support Clean Up Australia Day, at Linear Park next to our primary school and we also cleaned up our school environment. We collected 5 large tubs of rubbish which included cans,boxes,food wrappers and lots of disposable face masks. We had to sort the rubbish into things that could be recycled and things that would go into landfill. Sunday 6th of March is national clean up Australia day, so you might like to clean a local area to make a difference for the environment. Our environmental warriors are now going to look at ways to reduce the rubbish and waste around our school. We’d like to thank our parent helpers that joined us for the clean up. Also we would like to thank the teachers that organized this event for the year 5’s.
