Beginning of Year School Mass

This morning we celebrated our beginning of year school Mass. This Mass begins our celebration of our 40th Anniversary where 40 years ago, on the second of April 1979, ninety-three children and seven staff moved into their new classrooms.  Today at mass representatives from each year level processed in with a banner representing their grade declaring who they were, led by the school captains carrying the school banner.  The Staff at St Augustine’s were also recognised at Mass with a commissioning and blessing, renewing their commitment to their teaching vocation. It was a proud moment standing up with a talented, committed and joyful group of people.
