Students from St Augustine’s were invited to attend the National Future Schools Conference Expo in Melbourne. This event showcases top speakers and technology providers. Delegates, mainly Principals and Technology Coordinators, from across the Asia Pacific region, come together to discuss the future of education. Marko and Adam were representing the school by demonstrating robotics as part of the Robocup Junior exhibit. They did a fantastic job, demonstrating robots playing soccer and performing rescues. Adam showcased his problem solving skills as he improved his robots performance throughout the day. Marko took time out to teach a Secondary Digital Technologies teacher from New Zealand, how to program the soccer robots. Adam and Marko also toured the Expo, quizzing the exhibitors and collecting freebies along the way. We should be very proud of how they represented the school at this event. A big thank you to Monika G, as, without her help, this excursion would not have been possible.
