Term 3 – Week 2

ST BERNARD’S COLLEGE – Celebrating 60 years of education at the Essendon campus.

As we commemorate our 60th anniversary of St Bernard’s College at the Essendon Campus, we invite the college community to celebrate this significant milestone in our history.

Since 1940, St Bernard’s College has provided exceptional education to young men in the Edmund Rice Tradition.  This continues in 2023 with 1600 young men from Year 7 to Year 12 being educated in the Charism of Blessed Edmund Rice. This year, we are thrilled to honour the incredible journey of our college, from its humble beginnings on The Strand in Moonee Ponds to the thriving institution it has become on Rosehill Road, Essendon.

The Diamond Dinner will take place on Saturday, 26 August 2023, at the Victoria Pavilion, Showgrounds. This promises to be an unforgettable evening for our alumni, parents, staff and guests from the College community. It is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with old friends to reminisce and look back on 60 years at Essendon. The Diamond Dinner invites you to partake in a 3-course dinner, engage with a live 6-piece band; so put on your dancing shoes, and there are even great door prizes up for grabs thanks to our wonderful sponsors.

To purchase tickets or book a table (10), please click on this link Diamond Dinner or scan the QR code.

EAST KEILOR LEISURE CENTRE – ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
Our program is an inclusive and fun dance program, combining movement and music, which gets kids active and helps them build confidence, coordination and creativity! Our pre-school classes are suitable for children aged 3-5, and are focused on creating a safe environment for children to develop their motor skills and spatial awareness whilst having fun and making friends!
Our Junior hip hop classes are suitable for kids of all abilities aged 6-12. These classes introduce children to urban dance techniques such as popping, locking, breaking and grooving! At the end of each term the children will have the opportunity to show off their news moves to friends and parents in a laidback performance in our studio! (That’s right parents, no expensive and stressful end of year concerts)
Both of these programs have weekly classes that run for 45 minutes and are instructed by a qualified dance teacher!
For the parents, we also run a weekly beginner class for adults! This class includes multiple different styles, including Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop. This class is open to all abilities and is a great way to get your body moving and improve coordination, no matter how old!
OUR CLASS TIMES:
Come Dance with Me (ages 3-5): 5pm Wednesdays, 2:45pm Sundays
Junior hip hop: 4:30pm Tuesdays, 2pm Sundays
