Re: News

Let Us Pray

God, may Your light guide my day, and your spirit bring me peace.

May I stand in solidarity today with all my brothers and sisters around the world who are suffering.

May we be united in your love, and may I work to build your kingdom here on earth.

Amen

Our children are learning about the Church season of Lent and they are preparing for Easter, and the celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus. During Lent the annual Caritas Australia Project Compassion Appeal takes place. Donations to Project Compassion allow Caritas Australia, the Catholic Agency for International Aid and Development, to work with local communities around the world to end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity.

The theme of Project Compassion 2023 is ‘For All Future Generations’ and reminds us that the good we do today extends to impact the lives of generations to come. It invites us to make the world a better place by working together now and finding long-term solutions to global issues.  Project Compassion boxes will be collected at the end of term.

Catholic Education Week

This week is Catholic Education Week (Sunday 12 March to Sunday 19 March) and the theme for this year’s celebrations is ‘Forming lives of faith, hope and love in the light of Christ’. Catholic education seeks to provide students with a high-quality education that is inspired by the example of Jesus Christ.

Our School Captains and SRC student team represented St Augustine’s at the annual St Patrick’s Day Mass and spent time afterwards celebrating with students from other schools in the Treasury Gardens.

Sacrament of Confirmation

Our Year 6 students will be celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday 31st March 6pm @ St. Christopher’s Church, Airport West. Please keep these students in your thoughts and prayers.

ECSI -Enhancing Catholic Identity Parent Survey

Thankyou to all those who have already completed the online RE ECSI survey.  The survey results will assist us in better understanding how our Catholic identity is expressed in work and practice here at St Augustine’s.

If you received an email invitation to complete the survey, you are asked to complete the survey online by the end of Term 1; it may take up to an hour to do so. Try not to get caught up in the questions, simply respond intuitively.

To access the survey please follow the steps below
